Growing up in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains allowed for countless adventures in the great outdoors. To me, the most fascinating part were always the animals. Wild ones, unusual ones, majestic ones—even the friendly ones I found in my own backyard. Drawing felt as natural to me as exploring outside, and one always seemed to inform the other. As I developed as an artist, I never found anything that worked quite as well as simple pencil and paper. Today, I specialize in hyperrealism using charcoal and carbon pencils. I find endless inspiration in the rugged Wyoming terrain around me, and strive to capture the spirit of all animals that call the American West home.
